REGISTRATION FOR 2022-2023 CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ST. MARK THE EVANGELIST

Registration for Christian Education is available now.

This year, we will offer FAMILY FORMATION CLASSES TWO SUNDAYS PER MONTH (schedule of dates will be provided). All Christian Education Students, Grades K-10 plus at least one parent/adult family member will attend the 10:30 Mass, followed by a 45-minute class which will support the teachings of the Gospel of the day. Students will go to their class group, and parents will meet in the Hall for refreshments (or as Fr. Michal says: “Holy Hour/Happy Hour”!) a brief teaching and small share groups.

Family Faith Formation has proven to be extremely popular with families. It is gaining popularity within the church, worldwide, and is being embraced as part of the family experience, bringing the Catholic faith alive within our homes.  Our Bishop of Paterson, Kevin J. Sweeney encourages us to be inclusive in our teaching of the Catholic faith and is very proud that Family Faith Formation is becoming the norm for many of us. We are doing everything we can to provide a positive, enlightening experience for our St. Mark’s families.
This will be our fourth year providing this in our church. We have found it to be a fun and effective way to grow in our faith, together as families. Most of the classes will take place here. There may be an occasional on-line lesson or project to be done at home. Children will be grouped grade-appropriately, as well as combined with adults for special activities.

You will find the new Registration Form on our website: www.stmarksnj.org, where you can download it, fill it out and either mail or deliver to the church in person. There is a box outside for drop-off) See below regarding payment.
COST: The cost for the program is as follows:
                $225. For families with two or more children. $150. For families with one child.

Payment MUST be made on-line through Faith Direct, by going to our website and proceeding to Faith Direct, then scrolling down to the SECOND Faith Direct Button entitled: “Donate Now”. You can then scroll to “Christian Education Payment”. NO REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PAYMENT, OR IF ANY PART OF THE REGISTRATION FORM IS LEFT BLANK.  PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE CHECKS OR CASH WITH YOUR REGISTRATION PAPERWORK.

You will be contacted via an e-mail communication, when we have received all paperwork and payment, have developed a schedule of classes, and as we get closer to beginning classes in the Fall.

This communication is being sent to all families who participated in our Program last year. If you know of someone who is new to the parish, or who wishes to join us this year, please forward the information to them. The program is offered to registered families at St. Mark’s or Our Lady of the Mountain Churches.
The St. Mark’s experience has always been a unique one! We have always prided ourselves in serving our families in fresh and creative ways. God bless you all, and thank you for being with us again, this year!
